Karissa and Adam
Tell us your love story. How did you meet?
Adam was flicking through Facebook and made contact, we had mutual friends and grew up in the same town, from that moment we were inseparable, we have created our four beautiful children Matai, Kai, Hoani and Amiria in the 10.5 years we have been together.
The Proposal – him or her? Was it a surprise?
We were away in Airlie Beach for a delayed birthday holiday for Karissa due to (covid restrictions), Adam hired a private catamaran involving the crew on board for his surprise proposal. Adam had a videographer dressed blending in with staff on board, who captured the moment. Adam got down on one knee with our four children holding a banner saying ”Mummy will you marry Daddy?”
Where did you spend your honeymoon?
We spent our honeymoon over at Hayman island, it was amazing !!!!!! we cant wait to take the children next time.
Why did you choose Earlando? Was there something that made it stand out from the other venues for you?
As Soon as we arrived at Earlando watching our children run off down to the beach collecting shells and admiring the sea turtle that popped his head up to greet us….. we knew that ‘THIS IS OUR VENUE” Our children loved Earlando as much as we did. We seriously can’t fault Earlando. Teena and Ben were so warm and inviting and just loved our children so much. They are so easy going, we love that it’s a family run business it makes it all that more special. When you are at Earlando you feel isolated from the rest of the world you almost feel like you’re on a private island. Earlando has amazing views, and the landscape is out of this world! Earlando has so many photo locations from the beach front, immaculate gardens, cattle yards, endless hills surrounded by the tallest palms, Oh I cant forget the jetty ‘WHAT A DREAM” we fell in love with every single element of Earlando!
Did you have a theme to your wedding/wedding styling? What inspired this?
Our wedding theme was coastal lots of whites and beige, from long white rose in the sand, coconuts across tables and dried palms with the most beautiful white orchids, flickering candles and fairy lights, everything was Timeless, our stylist and florist did a Beautiful job, to take in that amazing canvas Earlando Provides.
What was your favourite part of your wedding?
We honestly can’t choose one favourite part of our wedding, there was so many favourite moments of our day we wish we could relive.Though one part of our Day we will Hold close to Our hearts is the moment Adams Surprise wedding gift is reviled to him.I booked a live painter to capture a moment of Adam and I, Our live painter then painted Adams friends who had sadly passed away who would had been groomsman standing next to him. Having them painted side by side with Adam is truly something he will cherish forever.
