Love, Colour & Fireworks: Steve & Nikki’s Vibrant Earlando Celebration
Sometimes love needs a little time—and a second chance. Steve and Nikki first met over 20 years ago, but it wasn’t until they crossed paths again more than a decade later that their friendship rekindled and blossomed into something more. That renewed connection would lead them to a sun-soaked celebration in the Whitsundays, surrounded by laughter, love, and even a few surprises.
Steve’s proposal came as a complete shock to Nikki. “It was a huge surprise,” she laughed. “I never thought he would!” But say yes she did—and before long, they were planning the destination wedding of their dreams.
Coming from the Gold Coast, the couple knew they wanted a venue where their loved ones could stay and celebrate with them for more than just one day. Earlando ticked every box. “As soon as we visited and met Teena, we knew,” Nikki said. “Nothing compared. It was exactly what we had in mind—and more. We are so glad we did. Earlando, Teena, Ben, and Pip were beyond incredible.”
The wedding itself was a vibrant celebration of love, family, and joy. With no formal theme, the couple simply let the colours, the scenery, and the emotions take centre stage. From awe-struck guests arriving at the breathtaking venue, to heartfelt vows, mouthwatering food, a dazzling fireworks display, and an electric dancefloor—every moment was one to remember.
“Absolutely everything was our favourite part,” they said. “We want to do it all again!”
One unforgettable moment? After surprising guests with a spectacular fireworks display, the crowd jokingly started wondering if dancing llamas might appear next. “They thought we couldn’t possibly top that!”
Their advice to future Earlando couples? “Be prepared to be blown away. The Earlando team is the best. But most of all—just have fun. The day goes by so quickly!”
To Teena, Ben, and the entire Earlando family, Nikki and Steve shared a heartfelt message:
