Toni and Matt

Tell us your love story? How did you meet?
Matt and I met on an internet dating site. We stumbled across each other by accident as we lived in different places. We emailed each other for a few weeks before I took the plunge and went to visit him. We knew we were meant to meet from the first visit. Eventually Matt moved to Mackay to live with me and he has never looked back.

The Proposal – him or her? Was it a surprise?
Matt proposed to me on Valentines day. He took me out for breakfast and when he went to pay, he came back with his camera and said he wanted to take some photos of our growing baby bump in the beautiful gardens. He got down on one knee and proposed and I was very surprised. It was beautiful.

Your Honeymoon Plans:
We are travelling to Bali in October and can not wait! It will be our first time visiting.

Why did you choose Earlando? Was there something that made it stand out from other venues for you?
Everything about Earlando stood out from other venues! The moment we got over the hill and saw the place we both looked at each other and said “this is it!” Matt also wanted to fish there. From green, green grass to crystal blue ocean, the place is beautiful! The other thing that made us make up our mind was the friendliness of the Earlando staff. They were very accommodating and willing to make all of our dreams come true. I have recommended this venue to every bride I have stumbled across. It was my dream wedding come true.

My favourite part of the wedding was how happy I was. The months of planning and visualising had become a reality. From flowers, to speeches, dancing and cake, it was all amazing!

Did you have a theme to your wedding/wedding styling? What inspired this?
I have always wanted a vintage inspired wedding so this is where I started. I knew I wanted a classic, vintage, lace dress and red lips, so I matched the rest of the colours to this. Matthew was happy with the colour selection and knew I was in my element planning. I loved the rustic yet elegant feel of Earlando. I pintrest many images and got a good image of what I wanted. The Earlando team and The Wedding Planners Whitsundays put it all together for me. It was breath taking!

What was your favourite part of your wedding?
My favourite part of the wedding was how happy I was. The months of planning and visualising had become a reality. From flowers, to speeches, dancing and cake, it was all amazing!

Do you have any advice for future brides?
Make sure you take some time on your special day to just be with your husband. Smile and have fun because it goes too fast.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
My day would not run as smooth and been as perfect as it was without the friendly staff of Earlando and the girls from The Wedding Planners Whitsundays. I cannot thank them enough for making our day so amazing! I want to go back and do it all again!!
